The Hot Seats at Calliope Center Stage

If you missed the Wiyos last month, do yourself a favor and make it out for the Hot Seats tomorrow at Calliope's new venue in the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts (corner or Fifth and Shady).

The beers are cheap (relatively anyway - $3), and the Hot Seats are a ragtimey, bluegrassy good time (also rumored to be very funny).

Wow, not only do we share a name, which in and of itself is strange enough, but also we both write for a group music blog. Maybe we've found some wormhole between parallel universes... ok, that was nerdy... anyways, we must be at least cousins. Where you born in PR? Whats your involvement with music besides the blog? Here's the blog i write for - http://www.nonalignmentpact.com/ (I post every Thursday - http://www.nonalignmentpact.com/tag/thursdays). I also play music in the North Carolina area. Bueno, feliz navidad. Salud.

Roberto -

Sadly, I am nothing but a shameless imposter. I lifted your swashbuckling handle and made it my pseudonym for whatever reason when I started this Blogger account and hadn't yet decided what to do with it. Then I kept it. Anyway, sorry to disappoint.

While I was not born in PR, I will be getting married there this June. I guess that should count for something, si? And, if you trace my Irish lineage back far enough, there's surely some Spaniard in me somewhere.

Feliz navidad a tu, tambien!

no disappointment here. your taste in handles is commendable and even if it doesnt appear it to the world, i can still feel safe about the uniqueness of my name.

PR is a beauty, you do well to get married there. Try to make it to Culebra or Vieques if you can, or to boqueron (on the southwest) or rincon (on the northwest and esp if you like surfing). Mountains are pretty nice too. My main recommendation - get out of the metro area except for a day or two in old san juan.

So, I'm thinking of featuring your blog on my blog this week. I like the contrast of your top 20 and the study in contrast of what actually sells so i may link to those posts and then write something funny about how theres two of us or something. you ok with that?

Rincon is one of my favorite places. I'd love to move there someday down the line. Went there to surf a few years back and fell in love with the whole island.

We'll be getting married at the cathedral in old san juan, then spending the honeymoon around the island. Thanks for the recommendations.

As for a link, have at it!
